Blue Innovation Day - Oct 2024
COI was happy to return to the 2nd Blue Innovation Day at the Seymour Marine Discovery Center on Sunday, October 6! Blue Innovation Day connects researchers, organizations, and community members dedicated to safeguarding our ocean and water sources.

Ulithi Youth Leaders Collaboration: Tackling Plastic Pollution Hawaii - Sept 2024
COI traveled to Hawaii Island to train Ulithi Youth Leaders from the Federated States of Micronesia in our EPAP protocols. This initiative, in partnership with One People One Reef, seeks to collaborate with the Ulithi community to monitor and document plastic debris patterns in the Micronesian environment over time.

International Coastal Cleanup Day - Sept 2024
Final Results Are In! COI, along with 46,201 California trash warriors, proudly participated in this year's 40th Annual International Coastal Cleanup Day! Volunteers gathered at coastal beaches, shorelines and inland waterways, in nearly all of California’s 58 counties, as far inland as Lake Tahoe.

Establishment of Clean Oceans Albany - Sept 2024
