Mission Street Mural
Santa Cruz, CA
Clean Oceans International (COI) works every day to reduce Plastic Pollution. When people tell us we are doing good work, that helps us get up and do it again. Conversation is a good place to begin working for ocean health, so we teamed up with a crew of amazingly talented artists, to create an impressive conversation starter, the Santa Cruz Community Clean Oceans Mural.
This 500’ long underwater scene brightens the sound wall fronting Hwy 1/Mission Street at Bay Street in Santa Cruz California. This was the largest mural project in SC history and inspired ten more for 2020. Taylor Reinhold’s Fresh Made Crew transformed a public eyesore into a community treasure during late 2019 to keep everyone talking about our oceans and its challenges, in particular the global plastic pollution epidemic.
The 'Donors Recognition Section' of the wall has been postponed because of school desires during the Pandemic response. We are patiently waiting.
The beauty of this mural may prompt you to have further discussions about the beauty of the oceans. Supporting COI can help with that. Our “DONATE” button is on every page.
